The Impotency of Mr Manmohan Singh

By early next week we’ll be back to work, our ridiculously clueless Prime Minister would have condemned the attacks in his strongest words and the media would have hailed the resilience of the citizens of Delhi. Next month another city will be witness to yet another terror attack.

It’s been seven years almost to the day since the last terror attacks in America and about the same since they happened in UK. Since then the Governments of both countries have put in place regulations, policies and processes that have ensured none of their citizen ever got harmed again.

Unfortunately Manmohan Singh’s Goverment with their corrupt, incompetent and downright shameless policies has resulted in the loss of thousands of lives in India during the same period.

Like the countries in the West - why can this Government not work with local muslim organisations to curb radical elements. Why can they not swiftly try and punish the men behind these acts. Why can they not clamp down on madrasas and clerics who perpetuate hatred? Why can they not be merciless with people who work to destroy this country? If it can be done in other countries why not here in India?

Instead Mr Singh has chosen to do the exact opposite. The Government has refused to introduce terror related laws. It has refused to hang Mohammed Afsal - letting the world know you can kill in India and escape any punishment. It continues to play soft with Pakistan and the problems in Kashmir.

Apparently for some reason this Government believes its policy of muslim appeasement and selective secularism will garner it the votes of people following that religion. And letting a thousand men, women and children die and leave behind millions grieving is a price they’re willing to pay to stay in power for another term.

We know all our policians are corrupt but it’s time we get our voter’s card ready and at least vote this Government out.
